The operational classification of CW agents is shown in Table 3. Riot control agents (e.g., tear gas) are not considered CW agents since symptoms are transient and self-limiting. Conversely certain extremely potent chemicals, such as mycotoxins and neurotoxins, are classified with the biological warfare (BW) agents.
