A man’s best friend on a hiking trip, a biking trip, a camping trip or any other outdoorsy adventure is a good pair of tactical gloves. It would be absolutely foolish to take off on any of these or to work with tools without a good and protective pair of gloves. You, my friend, are not foolish, of course. But in case you are looking for a little more guidance in looking for the perfect pair of gloves, fret not, that’s what I am here for.

I have gone ahead and carried out some research to find you the best pair of tactical gloves in the market. In the sections below, I will take you through different categories of gloves, each of which (barring one) you are likely to love. I have picked these products out keeping in mind durability, protection, fashion, usage and more. Here’s presenting the homework I have carried out for you, hope you find it useful!

What I Think

This is a promising glove set to invest in because it provides great protection to the wearer and can be used in a variety of different settings and circumstances. They are very well ventilated and can be worn in hotter climates as well. They provide a great grip and will protect your palms in the event of a mishap on a bike.

Common Questions
  • Can these be used in the winters?

These gloves are good for using in mild winters but as the mercury drops, it may become less and less conducive to use as it lets air in.

  • Are these gloves waterproof?

No, the gloves are not waterproof. The vent will also let water in if it rains.

  • Are these gloves puncture-resistant?

No, these are not safety gloves so you will not be protected against thorns and cuts of different kinds. It is best to invest in specialized safety gloves for that.

What I Like
  • The vent design is extremely efficient on these gloves and they can be worn even in hot climates.
  • The hardened plastic protects your hands from abrasion.
  • The wrist strap secures the gloves in and provides greater protection.

Stay away from Product!

First Tactical Hard Knuckle Gloves

The First Tactical Hard Knuckle Gloves are easy ones to fall for as they do not cost a lot of money. The goatskin palm is machine washable and claims to provide a good grip. But the inner lining starts giving way only after a few weeks of use. The gloves are also really thin and have practically no padding at all. It provides little protection from anything.

The biggest complaint that customers seem to leave in reviews is that the gloves stain the wearer’s hands black after a long period of use. It also has too snug a fit and does fit true to size at all. I would recommend staying away from this one even if the price point and the goatskin palm is tempting. These were the best tactical gloves that I think are available on the market (obviously not the fifth one, categorically stay away!). I have attempted to put together a concise list, keeping in mind all the factors one may look for in a pair of tactical gloves. Most of these gloves offer something unique and if not, they are at least reliable and durable. I hope you found something you may like on this list and do not forget to let me know which gloves are the perfect fit for you, pun intended!
